Wrap-up season continues, and so does my mini-series!
I’m going to have 3 articles/videos in this series: Best Books of 2020, Worst Books of 2020 and Most Surprising and Underrated Books of 2020.
It’s time for some shade and negativity! So here are my worst books of 2020!
Now, just like last year, for a book to appear on the shortlist I only have to have read it in 2020, but to win the award, the book MUST have been published in 2020.
Oh, I also shot a short video for this if you’d rather watch/listen whilst you browse the net or something else!
But if not, here’s a quick run down for you!
The worst books I read in 2020
So, unlike my Best Books, I don’t split these off into categories. Why? Well I always aim to not have read so many books that I didn’t like to the extent where they’d need their own genre category! So I lump them all together, and I try to keep them limited.
I know there’s a hot button debate on negative reviews in the community (again) but I have my opinions, good or bad, and I choose to share them on my platforms.
So, without further ado, here are my picks for Worst Books of the Year, and the ‘winner’!
Girl, Serpent, Thorn – Melissa Bashardoust
Star Daughter – Shveta Thakra
Teen Titans: Beast Boy – Kami Garcia, Gabriel Picolo
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – Suzanne Collins
Infinity Son – Adam Silvera
Queen of Nothing – Holly Black
Girls With Sharp Sticks & Girls With Razor Hearts – Suzanne Young
I’m Not Dying With You Tonight – Kimberly Jones & Gilly Segal
Sometime After Midnight – L. Philips
Blood & Honey – Shelby Mahurin
